Welcome to Rewriting Myself. After my wife passed unexpectedly, leaving me as a widowed father of a young girl, i was left to figure out how i was going to be able to continue on. i frantically began to reach out for help but was stunned at how difficult it was to find a support group in my area or resources that i felt i could relate to.
this site initially was just my own personal blog about my journey, but as i continue to heal and understand how powerful sharing our experiences can be, i decided to start a local support group, and thus this blog evolved into a peer-to-peer support group. as the support and outreach continues to grow, we are continuously evolving our support system by offering online group support and adding more days and times to our meeting schedule.
We do not always get a choice in what happens to us, but we often have a choice as to how we will respond.
ACCEPTING MEMBERS
We are close to securing a location where we can begin holding bi-weekly meetings
Initially these meetings will be only for adults until the members and the moderators each have developed a comfort level and routine
We are forming our members list NOW for those interested in attending in person meetings.

Whether you are able to attend our bi weekly meetings in Fall River, Massachusetts or not, I wanted to share some opinions and observations on my own journey with grief and loss.
